The Forge Choma District Chapter Announces GROW Choma Initiative 2027

The Forge Choma District Chapter is preparing to implement GROW Choma Initiative 2027, a seven-week community development initiative scheduled to run from 4 January to 21 February 2027.

The initiative brings together four campaigns — leadership and entrepreneurship, menstrual health, community action and environmental responsibility, and opportunity and community connections — followed by a closing seminar to review the work undertaken.

Through community outreach, educational activities, volunteer participation and engagement with relevant institutions, GROW Choma seeks to create meaningful opportunities for people in Choma and surrounding communities.

As the formal launch approaches, The Forge invites interested volunteers, schools, community organisations, institutions and potential supporters to engage with the initiative and explore appropriate opportunities for participation.

GROW Choma Initiative 2027 is an expression of our commitment to connecting people with knowledge, opportunity and the means to contribute to their communities.

Why GROW Choma?

Development Must Reach Beyond the Centre.

Community development is not limited to major institutions or urban centres. It also depends on what happens in schools, villages, neighbourhoods and the everyday spaces where people learn, organise and pursue opportunities.

GROW Choma Initiative 2027 brings several practical areas of community engagement under one coordinated programme. It will create opportunities for learning, awareness, participation and collaboration while strengthening The Forge Choma District Chapter's relationships with the communities it serves.

The initiative is designed around practical action, responsible resource use and documented results. Its purpose is not simply to conduct activities, but to establish a foundation for sustained engagement beyond the seven-week project period.
